Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ! From the bottom of my heart I welcome visitors of the Internet-site of the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Johannesburg (RSA). It fills us with a great joy, that now it became possible to capture the spiritual, cultural and historical traditions of Russian Orthodoxy and make it freely available in the far-away country of South Africa using the internet technologies. The Russian Orthodox Church during thousand years since the moment of the Baptism of Russia, always communicated with its flock using comprehensible language and the most accessible means of communication for it’s time and historical epoch, remembering apostle Paul’s words: "become all things to all men, that might by all means save some" - 1 Cor. 9, 22. The voice of our Church more and more often can now be heard in the computer network of the world. It testifies the spiritual force and the beauty of the Russian Orthodoxy and ideals of life in Christ. I am deeply convinced that the opening of the Internet-site of St. Sergius’ Church will serve as a strengthening component in the spiritual connections of our compatriots living on the South of the African continent, with the Mother-church. And the English version of the web site will enable the local population of South Africa to discover the treasures of Russian Orthodoxy. I wish to visitors of the Internet-site of the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Johannesburg God’s help in every good deal.
